A complete favicon set covers ten different sizes for various rendering contexts: 16x16 and 32x32 for browser tabs, 48x48 for older Windows shortcuts, 96x96 and 128x128 for some Linux desktops, 180x180 for Apple touch icons on iOS home screens, 192x192 and 512x512 for Android Chrome PWA install prompts, and intermediate sizes for various other surfaces. This tool takes a single uploaded image (ideally a square PNG at 512x512 or higher) and generates all ten sizes using high-quality canvas resampling. All processing happens in your browser; nothing uploads to a server. Download each size individually or all at once, then add the corresponding link tags to your HTML head section.
Frequently asked questions
At least 512x512 pixels, square aspect ratio, PNG format. The generator downsizes from your source; upsizing produces blurry results so larger is better. Vector logos exported at 512x512 or higher work best because they preserve sharp edges at small sizes. Photos rarely make good favicons because detail is lost below 64x64.
