Calculators are estimates
The calculators implement standard formulas using publicly available reference values. They are designed to show how a calculation works and to give a ballpark figure, not to produce a definitive answer for your situation. Tax brackets, contribution limits, rates, and other reference values change over time. We update the calculators as official figures are published, but a page might still reflect last season's numbers for a while after a change, and might be wrong for prior periods. Always verify with the relevant official source before relying on a result.

Third-party data sources
Many of our network tools depend on third-party and upstream data. IP geolocation is an estimate and can place an address in the wrong city, region, or country. DNS results, including those resolved over DNS over HTTPS, can be cached and may not reflect a very recent change. WHOIS and RDAP records depend on registries and registrars and can be incomplete, redacted, or outdated. MX and similar lookups reflect whatever the responding servers report at the time. Treat all of this data as informational and verify anything critical through an authoritative source.
Crowdsourced content
The notes in our phone-number lookup section are submitted by visitors, not verified by us. They are opinions and anecdotes, not confirmed facts, and may be inaccurate, biased, or out of date. Do not rely on them to identify a person or to make an important decision.
Affiliate and advertising disclosure
WhatIP is supported by third-party advertising served through programmatic ad networks, including Google AdSense. We do not control which specific ads are shown to you, and an ad appearing on the site is not an endorsement by us. We do not currently use affiliate links inside our content. If that ever changes, we will mark affiliate links clearly.
